What can I expect in sex therapy?

Sex therapy is form of talk therapy that addresses concerns within the broad topic of sex. Topics can include desire differences, difficulty with arousal or orgasm, painful sex, anxiety around sex, communication concerns, trauma, and relationship challenges. We will identify your specific goals and use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, somatic techniques, and nervous system regulation, to help you build a more fulfilling relationship with yourself, your sexuality, and your relationships.

Yes! I love to work with clients in navigating topics such as anxiety, depression, codependency, life transitions, work, relationships, self worth, stress, trauma, guilt, shame, boundaries, communication, people pleasing, perfectionism, autoimmune diseases and so much more.

Who do you work with?

I love working with Gen Z and Millennial individuals and couples both in person and virtually. I specialize providing care to the LGBTQIA+ community and am non-monogamy and kink affirming.

What kind of treatment modalities do you use?

I love working with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I believe these two modalities work great hand in hand by challenging our thoughts, breaking cycles, and coping through any discomfort it may bring. I also utilize somatic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, feminist therapy, culturally sensitive therapy, person centered and trauma informed treatment, motivational interviewing, and solution focused treatment.

How long will I be in therapy?

It depends! Therapy is specific to you and there are several factors to consider including your desired goals, stage of change, current use of coping skills, severity of symptoms and stressors, and willingness to engage in treatment inside and outside the therapy room.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations need to be made 24 hours prior to your session time. Any cancellations within the 24 hour period will be charged the full session rate of $200.

Yes! I accept out of network benefits and am in network with Priority Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Care Network, ASR, Aetna, and United Healthcare. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage details for your plan.
