What is Anxiety?

Anxiety can feel suffocating—like your mind is constantly running, your body won't slow down, and no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to find relief. It can show up as racing thoughts, overthinking, difficulty relaxing, or always expecting something to go wrong. It can also live in your body through a racing heart, chest tightness, upset stomach, muscle tension, headaches, jaw clenching, or feeling constantly on edge.
Anxiety rarely appears out of nowhere. It's often your mind and body trying to protect you, even if those protective patterns are not serving you. Together, we'll slow things down, make sense of what your anxiety is trying to communicate, and untangle the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that have become intertwined. As you begin to name your patterns and understand where they come from, anxiety often starts to feel less overwhelming and more manageable.
You don't have to keep living in survival mode. You deserve to feel like you can breathe again!
